John Sheppard

John Sheppard is currently experimenting
with non brilliant pot surfaces.
He is using two different techniques:
pots coated with a vitreous engobes
for a controlled colour and design
and flamed pots fired in contact with the
flames and smoke of a simple updraught
wood kiln,giving natural and
sometimes astonishing colours.
